PARTNERSHIPS
PROGRAM RELATED INVESTMENTS
Our program related investment (PRI)
activity focused on maturing a co-investment
with the MacArthur Foundation in the Raven
Impact Investment Fund, a partner of Raven
Indigenous Capital.
The fund invests in Indigenous-led
enterprises in Canada and has two
central theories for premises of change:
That empowering Indigenous
entrepreneurs (and, by association,
Indigenous communities) with access
to capital and capacity building
support is critical to building a vibrant
reconciliation economy
That an Indigenous-led and owned
intermediary is necessary to "decolonize" the investment process and
ensure cultural safety for all parties.

Our second focus area has been
deepening our partnership with
Raven Indigenous Partners Foundation and supporting the development of their Impact Measurement
framework to include an indicator
related to territorial guardianship.
Our investment has funded the
development of an Impact Management Strategy and the hire of a lead
Indigenous Impact Practitioner, and
supports capacity building within the
Impact Measurement community.
Sharing of our findings and the
guardianship indicator will happen
in 2022.
