NEW APPOINTMENT

It’s our pleasure to announce the appointment of Dr. Tania Kaprealian as Vice
Chair of Clinical Operations for the Department of Radiation Oncology at the
David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Kaprealian will oversee the clinical
operations within the department, including strategic planning, community
outreach and engagement and collaboration across all clinical services.
Dr. Tania Kaprealian is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at
the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the Medical Director of UCLA
Radiation Oncology. Beyond her role in the Department of Radiation Oncology,
she was recently elected as the incoming Chief of Staff Elect of Reagan Medical
Center at UCLA.
Dr. Kaprealian completed her medical degree and residency training in Radiation
Oncology at the University of California in San Francisco. Subsequently, she
served as faculty at the American University of Beirut Medical Center where she
was an Assistant Professor and Program Director in their Department of Radiation
Oncology before joining the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Radiation
Oncology Department in 2011. Dr. Kaprealian holds a joint appointment in the
department of Neurosurgery at UCLA and has been Chief of CNS Division in the
department of Radiation Oncology since 2013, specializing in cancers within
the central nervous system. She is Co-Director of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery
program, a position she has held since 2013.
In 2019, Dr. Kaprealian earned her MBA from UCLA Anderson. She has
extensive experience in Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Stereotactic
Radiosurgery (SRS) techniques, Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) techniques,
and other advanced techniques in radiation therapy.
