Welcome to Week Two
With the CW Festival winding up, we have ABF
Open and Mixed selection events for the second
week.
All part of the endless quest for points – Playoff
and gold. Stage One of the Butler is a continuous
Mitchell movement, with the top 10 each way
making it through to Stage 2.
As such, it's important that pairs keep their
scoresheets covered.

The ANC Pairs events used to be a big deal, with
big names all playing. Now it's basically a fill-in
while the Interstate Finals are being played.

Why do directors perversely place the
bridgemate in front of North? South should
score and East should check.
If you don't want to check, sit West.
Studies prove that there are twice as many data
entry errors from North as from South, who sees
the world in the correct cardinal orientation.
