Our Mission:
Abbott House builds lasting foundations
for children, families, and adults with
complex needs and empowers them
with opportunities for promising futures.
The heart of our work is dedicated to
helping human beings recover from
deep trauma or intervening to prevent
trauma before it occurs.
Our Commitment:
Since 1963, Abbott House has been a
sanctuary of safety, healing, and hope,
touching the lives of more than 112,000
individuals and counting. Last year
alone, we supported close to 3,000
people across the NY Metropolitan
area and surrounding Hudson Valley,
including children in foster care,
unaccompanied minors, struggling
families, and adults with developmental
disabilities. Our work is not intended to
be a quick fix; it is a profound investment
in human potential. The impact is
far-reaching and extends to siblings,
grandparents, foster and biological
parents and entire communities.
