OUR VISION
To our partners, donors, friends, team
members: You are the beating heart of the
Canadian Women’s Foundation.
Your steadfast support for every woman,
girl, and Two Spirit, trans, and non-binary
person has been a life-changer. The way you
champion gender equality and justice has
been a game-changer.
I could not be more grateful.
It’s a critical time. Momentum in the right
direction has been met with stunning reversals
of rights, safety, and freedom for women, girls,
and gender-diverse people. Calls for justice,
accountability, and an end to discrimination
and colonial abuses have been met with
surges of resistance and violence.
These are polarized times. Now is the time
to get bolder for the change we all need and
deserve. Now is the time to rally around each
other and prioritize those too often left behind
and forgotten.
Out of violence, out of poverty, into
confidence and leadership – the Canadian
Women’s Foundation’s longstanding mantra
for what every woman, girl, and genderdiverse person needs still rings true, and it’s
urgent.
Canada is not there yet. But we will get
there alongside you. The Canadian Women’s
Foundation’s actions are creating systemic
change – thanks to our donors and partners.
I’m proud to strive beside our hardworking
staff, volunteers, and committees. I’m
appreciative of the wise counsel of my fellow
board members as they contribute their
expertise and energy to good governance.
We’re in great company with one another
today. And I want you to know that this
community only grows because of your
stalwart commitment.
