The Checkology difference
A browser based platform, Checkology virtual classroom is NLP’s
signature education product. Students learn how to navigate the digital
landscape by developing news literacy knowledge, skills and habits.
Through its lessons, educators equip students with the tools needed
to evaluate and interpret information and to determine what to
trust, share and act on. Students learn how to identify credible
information, seek out reliable sources and apply critical thinking skills
to differentiate fact-based content from falsehoods such as viral
rumors, conspiracy theories and doctored images and text. They also
gain an understanding of the importance of the First Amendment and
civic engagement to our democracy. Featuring relevant examples from
social media and news sites, these e-learning experiences resonate
with students, test their understanding and lead them to mastery.
