WAYFINDERS CIRCLE
Wayfinders Circle was founded through a joint
effort with Nia Tero, Pawanka Fund, and the
Council of Spiritual Elders as a network dedicated
to unleashing the transformative potential of
Indigenous lifeways; inspiring all people to
re-imagine development, conservation, and the
way they relate to each other and to Mother Earth.
The Wayfinders Circle currently
includes 12 Indigenous peoples from
around the world, including: the
Heiltsuk Qqs Project Society (Canada),
Warddeken (Australia), the Native
American Land Conservancy (USA),
the Blackfoot Confederacy
(US/Canada), the Achuar Nation
(Ecuador), the Wampis Autonomous
Government (Peru), the Mayangna
54
Nation (Nicaragua), Sungai Utik
(Indonesia), the Udege People (Russia),
Sámiid Riikkasearvi (Sweden), and
Rapa Nui (Chile); and we expect future
partnerships will form. All Wayfinders
Circle members maintain strong
guardianship of their terri- tories,
are eager to learn from each other,
and influence decision-makers
through policy and storytelling.
