MOUNTAIN FORK RIVER
Things To Do
Mountain Fork River is dammed to create the Broken Bow Lake. This warm
water river has a lot of recreation to offer. The Upper Mountain Fork River
winds through the Ouachita Mountains and is great for its floating and
fishing smallmouth bass. The Lower Mountain Fork River, the tailwater of
Broken Bow Lake, is the most consistently flowing and best whitewater
stream in Oklahoma. It is great for a canoe or kayaking adventure. Perfect
for fly fishing, the river offers year-round rainbow and trout fishing.
BEAVERS BEND STATE PARK
Beavers Bend Park offers a variety of activities for adults, children and groups
while staying in our broken bow cabins. Fly fishing clinics, guided horseback
rides, hayrides, golf, miniature golf, archery, tennis, and paddle boats are just
some of the activities you can partake of at the park. The nature center offers
campfire programs on the banks of the Mountain Fork River, nature hikes, arts
and crafts, water sports, bingo, sunset hikes, nature films and astronomy.
