Historic Period Glass
for Authentic Restoration
Tatra Glass is widely known in the glass industry for importing and supplying traditional mouth blown and
machine drawn, coloured and clear restoration glass. We are passionate about the correct period glass being
used in restoration projects and with our wealth of knowledge and expertise, can offer advice to enable you to
make an informed decision. Our restoration glass has been supplied to Grade I and II listed properties, iconic
country estates, Royal Palaces, National Trust and English Heritage properties up and down the UK. It is also
acknowledged by relevant historical and planning bodies as an authentic substitute to maintain the aesthetics of
facades for period properties.
The latest addition to our range is Eko-Rest. This is an
innovative product which is ideal for use in historical
buildings with traditional wooden frames that are not
deep enough to accept slim line double glazed units. The
composition comprises of machine drawn or mouth
blown restoration glass to the outer pane, 0.8mm cold
cure resin interlayer and 3mm clear hard coat Low E glass.
The Low E coating faces into the room and reflects heat
back into the room whilst letting in free heat from the
sun. This product is produced in house by hand and can
be made up using any of our period restoration glass types.
Eko-Rest offers many benefits;
l Retains the original appearance of historic glazing
(restoration glass to the outer pane)
l Thermal properties - Achieves a U-Value of 3.6
(compared to single glazing of 5.6)
l Environmentally friendly – helps reduce energy costs
l UV protection – lets heat from the sun in but protects
from UV rays that can cause fading of historical artefacts
l Noise reduction – provides acoustic benefits (34rwdb)
l Security and Safety – due to the resin interlayer
l Longevity – Can last up to 5 times longer than

Our fine historic period French mouth blown glass is
perfect for authentic and sympathetic restoration projects
pre Victorian era. This fabulous glass shimmers and
sparkles due to it’s uneven surface and includes bubbles
and inclusions that catch and refract natural light.
Our authentic-looking machine drawn glass is produced
using the original Fourcault process to provide a similar
appearance to glass manufactured at the turn of the
Century. This gives an uneven surface that is visible in
the reflection that remains faithful to the original
aesthetics and stunning characteristics of period glazing.
