being resolved in a way that enhances our security.
We have also employed a new gardener, whose
work has been greatly appreciated by all.
all our other friendly bar sta昀昀, they have
undoubtedly contributed to the strong sales of
recent months.
Bookings
The hire of hall and snug for events has gone well
and Anna Warnock has successfully promoted this.
We have found the need for greater clarity in
booking procedures and conduct and our by-laws
have been updated and on-line booking introduced.
Inevitably, noise can disturb our neighbours and
guidelines aim to minimise this.
As reported elsewhere, Warwick Jones and his team
organised an enjoyable and successful evolu}on of
Founder9s Day Supper at the school and Warwick
has commi琀琀ed to follow up with the 2025 event,
which is much appreciated.

Building
Aver a couple of years of renova}on, redecora}ng
and refurnishing the hall and bar areas, we have
been able to enjoy our upgraded surroundings. This
year, improvements have been made to the bar
itself, Wi-Fi and TV facili}es. We have tried to
ensure good TV coverage of main spor}ng events,
although there has been some compe}}on for
screen }me between rugby and soccer enthusiasts!
For safety, we have upgraded our 昀椀re protec}on,
checked water quality and are seeking to make our
de昀椀brillator more accessible.
For security, we invested £7.5k in gates for our
clubhouse area, both Lime Meadow Avenue and
Blacksmith Hill. This has signi昀椀cantly reduced the
casual dog walking tra昀케c through our premises.
We have looked at the possibility of providing a
pool table but, unfortunately, our building
dimensions are }ght and we are experiencing
increased demand for changing room space, from
hockey, including ladies, a second rugby side and
football lets. We are providing extra storage space
to free up our exis}ng changing capacity.
Alan Bishop has organised the planning applica}on
for an extension and improvement of our pa}o
space, to be 昀椀nanced by the Geo昀昀 Wilsher Legacy
Fund, in his memory.

This year has featured the merger of our Trinity

welcoming 68 new members to Sanderstead.
General Commi琀琀ee
Bruce Jupp has made considerable progress this
year with communica}ng the coming events of the
Trinity Club to its members, with the backing of
Alan Bishop, via monthly newsle琀琀ers and the
publica}on of 2 excellent magazines. This is now
reinforced by a bulle}n screen in the bar and the
establishment of a WhatsApp group.
New ini}a}ves to boost the 400 Club by
modernising the contribu}on op}ons, overcame
obstacles provided by Barclays Bank and resulted in
Trevor Sto琀琀en announcing a £2500 transfer to Club
funds.
Friday Lunch at The Trinity Club has maintained a
loyal following and features the 400 Club draws,

also by our friends from Alumni Rela}ons at the
School. Francesca Catling used the occasion to
