If you can’t register online, you can download a paper form instead and
post it to your local elections team at your council.
You are normally sent your National Insurance number automatically, in the 3
months before your 16th birthday, if:
You live in the UK; and
A parent has filled in a Child Benefit claim form for you.
You can also find your National Insurance number on your payslip, your
P60, or on letters about your tax, pension or benefits. Please find further
information on the gov.uk website.
If you cannot provide your National Insurance number, you will need to
explain why and provide suitable identity documents instead, such as a
passport or utility bills.
