On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Tampa Film Institute Inc, our phenomenal
staff, and our incredibly dedicated group of volunteers, it is my distinct pleasure to
welcome you to the 16th annual Gasparilla International Film Festival!
Last year marked our 15th anniversary and to all of you who came out last year for our
return to a fully in-person schedule: thank you! We are humbled by the wonderful
response we received from our attendees, sponsors, and staff, as well as the talent who
was in attendance, after last year’s festival. You all are the reason we continue to strive to
put on the best film festival we can, and your support allows us to welcome you to the
red carpet for another installment of GIFF!
This year, we are excited to once again offer you the packed slate of films, panels,
events, and parties that you have come to expect from GIFF! For many of our films
this year, we are lucky to have talent in attendance, both from in front of and behind
the camera, and from Tampa Bay and around the country, for you to interact with.
Our lineup of events takes us across Tampa, as we engage multiple locations, starting
and ending at the beautiful, historic Tampa Theatre, and with our main program
split between the theaters of AMC Westshore and Ferman Center for the Arts at the
University of Tampa.
We are also grateful this year to have the continued support of our newest title sponsor,
Film Tampa Bay. Film Tampa Bay took the leap and became our title sponsor last year,
and their partnership and support has been invaluable. As a non-profit organization, we
rely on the support of our title sponsor, our Community Sponsors, Partners, Members,
and film-lovers everywhere, and without their support, we could not continually put on
a festival of this caliber.
So thank you all again for your continued support of GIFF! We hope you enjoy all we
have to offer this year to the fullest and, as always, FILM. FEST. REPEAT!
