HISTORY
Chilstone has a long and proud history of producing the finest cast stone. Our skilled
craftspeople have handmade our beautiful collection of garden ornaments and architectural
stone for seven decades. Since our inception in 1953, on the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s
coronation, we have worked hard to offer a personalised, friendly service to all our clients
while manufacturing products of the highest quality. Our clients include Kew Gardens,
Hever Castle and Kensington Palace. We take pride in offering the same great service
to private customers, property developers and architects too.
Our finest cast stone produces a finish like natural stone. This versatile material can be
blended in with your existing stonework using our colour matching service, perfect for
extensions. With the combination of our craftsmanship and this adaptable material we
can repair or replicate damaged stonework, reinvigorating period features. Special
commissions and restoration work are our speciality.
Everything produced by Chilstone is handmade in our workshop in Kent, using hand tools,
not factory machinery, just the same way it was when we started our business in the 1950s.
Our collection has a wide range of handmade stone that we can mix and match to deliver
the look you want for your property and garden, with both vintage and contemporary
designs to suit your style. Whether you have acres of space or a petite courtyard garden,
our handmade garden ornaments and planters can be modified to be just right for you.
