PEOPLE COUNT THEMSELVES IN
FOR GENDER EQUALITY*
*As of publication in September 2024.
How You’re Taking Action
Count Me In signs and billboards appeared in cities
across Canada in March 2024.
You’ve Identified Your “Changemaking
Personality”: Thousands of you have taken our
quiz to find out how you uniquely make change
– are you a challenger, creator, connector, or
collaborator? Or some blend of all four? If you
haven’t already done so, take the quiz to reveal
your Changemaker personality.
You’re Making Workplaces Better for Women
and Gender-Diverse People: Your responses to
our survey on improving Canada’s Employment
Equity Act informed our recommendations in the
government’s policy consultation process.
You Counted Yourselves in for Mothers
and Caregivers: For Mother’s Day, you made
generous tribute gifts to honour loved ones and
supported critical programs and services tailored
to diverse mothers and caregivers.
“We need to find ways to build more involved
communities. People are so busy working,
making dinners, getting kids to bed — repeat —
that there’s really no time left to interact with
people near you, get to know them, to know
how we can help each other.”
– Mother’s Day survey respondent
Empowering Civic Engagement of Girls and
and Young People: The Foundation is part of
a network supporting the #Vote16 movement.
In the leadup to International Day of the Girl
on October 11, 2024, you can send this letter to
