Out of state dollars for Bridget Zeigler
Citizens Against Taxation supported Bridget
Ziegler’s 2014 run for the school board. With
Ziegler’s campaign donations of $51,000
lagging behind Ken Marsh’s $72,000, the boost
in supportive funding for Ziegler from the PAC
Citizens Against Taxation proved pivotal in
securing her win over Marsh.
Phoenix Media, an out-of-state LLC, pumped a
lush $45,000 into Citizens Against Taxation.
Eric Robinson facilitated the same funding
tactic that worked in Manatee County (for
Manatee, an out of state PAC called
Greenpoint Investors) to shield the identity of
donors supporting Ziegler.
Eric Robinson refused to divulge the identity of
donors behind Phoenix Media. According to
the Sarasota Herald Tribune, Robinson said the
work had nothing to do with political principles.
