single glazed windows. These windows would act as
exemplars of the original glazing. The original windows
were installed in the non-habitable areas of the Hall. The
contract then became a combined venture between
Design Glass and Touchstone Glazing Solutions.
Now in 2022, over 200 new Touchstone windows have
been carefully installed to the stone mullions following
the same specification of the sample window which was
approved back in 2020.
Ledston Hall has undergone an extensive program of
renovation to bring the old hall back to life. The solution
that Touchstone provided was a key part of ensuring the
Hall was brought up to modern living standards.
It was clear from the outset that the Custodians of
Ledston Hall wanted to create a solution that would make
the Hall sustainable for generations to come whilst
maintaining the beauty and heritage of such an historic
building. Ledston Hall was a building that was close to
becoming part of our lost heritage but is now on the verge
of providing several modern living homes with an
engrained historic feel.
