Large Urns
Victoria Urn
“It may seem
self-evident
that a large urn
would require a
large garden but
such pieces may
do very well in
a small space
provided they
are alone.”
Finial originally designed by
the great Decimus Burton for
the Royal Botanical Gardens at
Kew. This urn was recreated from
drawings stored at Kew after 120
of the original urns went missing
during World War II. They were
recreated from the drawings by
Chilstone craftsmen and remain
on the roof of the Temperate
House to this day. The Botanical
Gardens at Kew are a World
Heritage Site.
