| IMPACTS OF COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS:
Compressed Natural Gas is a cleaner burning fuel for heavy duty vehicular needs, reducing tailpipe CO2
emissions by ~30% over diesel, and NOx emissions by ~90%. Replacing fossil natural gas with Renewable
Natural Gas (“RNG”) from landfills or digested animal manure further reduces emissions, enabling the driver
to achieve a net negative carbon emission footprint from every mile traveled. Beyond6 has made RNG a
priority, and in Q4 2020 delivered >50% of its volume as RNG. The company plans to transition to >95% RNG
by 2022. See below and attached for more detail about the emission reduction impacts of Beyond6’s RNG
activities.
Environmental Impact of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs)1
NGVs’ emit91% less NOx than a light-duty truck and 88% less NOX than a heavy-duty truck
Converting one truck from diesel to natural gas is equivalent to taking approximately 325 cars off the
road
NGVs reduce CO exhaust emissions by 70-90%
CNG vehicles are up to 90% quieterthan diesel equivalents!
RNG is the only fuel than can offer not carbon-negative emissions for transportation
(CI for dairy RNG is -250 gCO2e/MJ)
RNG has 115% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than diese lWell-To-Wheel
Fleets Run Cleaner on Natural Gas
