I was diagnosed with advanced localized squamous cell
carcinoma of the esophagus. I underwent twenty-eight treatments of radiation therapy with the UCLA Department of
R a d i a t i o n O n c o l o g y i n We s t w o o d . I h a v e n o t h i n g b u t p r a i s e
for this department. The technicians who performed the
treatments were precise and cheerful. My radiation oncolog i s t , D r . A n n R a l d o w, m o n i t o r e d m y t r e a t m e n t a n d p r o g r e s s .
I could not ask for a more thorough and compassionate doctor to get me through this very difficult period. She met with
me every Monday and listened about my week and addressed
m y c o n c e r n s . I w a s l u c k y t o h a v e D r. R a l d o w a n d h e r t e a m i n
