EMOTIONS
To embark on the journey of becoming
truly unbothered, there’s a critical 昀椀rst
step you must take, and I wholeheartedly
believe you’ve got what it takes. It
all begins with gaining awareness of
your emotional state each and every
day. You see, if you’re not in charge of
your emotions, they’ll wrestle control
from you, especially in high-pressure
situations, and the outcomes won’t be in
your favor.
Think of feelings and emotions as you
would the weather – ever-changing. Your
upgraded mission is to stop becoming
entangled in them or reading too much
into them. Instead, envision yourself as a
keen observer, watching your emotions
from a distance, just as you would watch
昀氀uffy clouds drifting across the sky.
Now, how do you put this into practice?
Start by tracking your emotions daily
on a calendar. There’s no need for
anything fancy; simplicity works best.

Each morning, upon waking, check
in with yourself and ask, “How am I
feeling today?” Then jot it down on your
calendar.
Some days, you’ll be over the moon;
others, you might feel a bit 昀氀at. There
will be days when you sense sadness,
anger, fatigue, or irritability creeping in.
Here’s the key: write it all down, make a
note, and keep recording your emotional
journey. Resist the urge to craft stories
around your emotions or label one
as better than another. All emotions
are neutral. This is the secret code to
allowing them to pass when they’re
ready.
