Program’s Purpose
The Latinos In Transit ERG program is designed to support the formation,
development, and sustainability of ERGs within public transportation agencies.
The program's purpose is to provide ERGs with the tools, resources, and guidance
necessary to foster an inclusive work environment that promotes the values,
culture, and heritage of Latinos in the transportation industry. By aligning these
ERGs with Latinos In Transit, the program ensures that the groups meet
compliance standards, achieve their organizational goals, and contribute to the
professional growth of Latino and non-Latino employees alike.
The program also aims to create a national network of ERGs that share best
practices, provide mentorship opportunities, and engage in communitybuilding efforts, all while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the public
transportation sector.
