OUR MISSION
Our mission is to tell the whole story about the Historic First Baptist Church and to preserve
and celebrate its founders, building, landscape and significant artifacts. We will present a
more complete and accurate history of First Baptist Church 3 its purpose, proclamation of
faith, persistence and resiliency of its founders and members, and their significant
contributions to the American story.
OUR VISION
We envision a future in which all people can see themselves in the American story with a
complete understanding of the past, its connection to the present and the historical heritage
of all Americans.
OUR COMMITMENT
We will work with our partners to make a difference in our local community. We will connect
people so that there is a better understanding of our nation’s past. We will continue to serve
as an open forum for discussion by telling the whole story, focusing on the connections
between people and place and providing support for the protection of places where history
happened.
