WELCOME!
I am excited to have you become part of the Hornet family. In the political, cultural and economic heart of
the Golden State, with more than 235,000 proud hornet alumni redefining the possible — we are California's
Capital University.
WELCOME
Our on-campus housing community of 3,200 residents live on the North and South ends of campus. North
Village houses 2,100 students in traditional residence halls. First-year students are housed in Desmond,
Draper, Jenkins, Riverview, Sierra and Klamath hall. North Village upper-division and transfer students reside
in suites at the American River Courtyard. Sac State’s newest apartment style complex. Hornet Commons,
located on the south end of campus houses 1,100 upper-division and transfer students. Hornet Commons
adds to our diverse and culturally rich experience for students. We continue to believe, and research continues to support, the idea that students that live on-campus have better grades and report a greater level of
satisfaction with their social lives and personal relationships.
