Instructions
I love turmeric, and I prefer oat drink (milk) as
my milk substitute since I don’t drink cow’s
milk. So, you will get two recipes for the price
of one! Another recipe I submitted in this
book also contains oats and turmeric. I
promise I eat more than just oats and
turmeric. I also don’t consume these
everyday…. well, I have oats almost everyday.
Yields: 1 serving
Ingredients
Oat Drink
1/2 cup Oats
2 cups Water
Oat Drink
You will need a clean kitchen towel.
• Put the oats and water into a blender. (I use a large plastic cup and an immersion blender.) Blend until the
oats are completely chopped/blended.
• Place the towel over a bowl and slowly pour the mixture onto the towel. The towel is acting as a strainer.
Some use a cheese cloth, but I nd that the weave isn’t ne enough and lets the grains fall through. The oats
will start clogging where you are pouring. You’ll probably have to shift the towel a few times, so the liquid
strains through quicker.
• That’s it! Once you’ve poured all the liquid, you have some oat drink! Lasts about 1 week or so in the fridge.

+/- 1 1/2 cups (about 1 mug’s worth) Oat Drink
(or any milk or milk substitute that you prefer)
1 tsp Turmeric

1-2 tsp Honey (or try maple or date syrup!)
• Heat up the oat drink/milk on the stove.
• Once hot, use a whisk to add the turmeric and honey (or sweetener of choice). If you’re fancy and have one
of those hand held frothing devices, those work beautifully for this.
• Play with turmeric and sweetener amounts to nd the taste just for you.
