We at Kensington and Chelsea Review are used to visiting and featuring
some of the best hotels around the world, particularly in London, and
are often thrilled by the most luxurious of properties ofering uniquely
home-like experiences in the same breath. The Zetter set of hotels are a
perfect embodiment of that dream connuence.
With hotels in Marylebone and Clerkenwell already and The Zetter
Bloomsbury opening very soon in early 2025, the group aims elevate the
concept of a boutique hotel by showcasing design and art as a major part
of the draw. Beings an arts, culture and luxury lifestyle magazine, the
Zetter ethos is perfect for our purposes.
The Zetter Marylebone exemplioes the idea behind the concept which
also has a very interesting octional element. An eponymous, aristocratic
family owns the properties which in the Marylebone property9s case is
under the immediate control of Wicket Uncle Seymour. Worry not because the only 9wickedness9 in sight is the beauty within every aspect of
the décor and the top-class service that pervades every part of the hotel.
In the same vein, The Zetter9s Great Aunt Wilhelmina resides in Clerkenwell and brings her own quirky touch at that property. Whist we wait
for the new property in Bloomsbury, we decided to give the Marylebone
property a (cosy) visit and true to expectation, were swept away by the
beauty, charm and wonder of it all!
Inspired by the architectural collections of Sir John Soane, the interiors
in Marylebone are populated most loving with a sprawling collection
amassed by Uncle Seymour during his European Grand Tour thus
renecting the octional owner9s eclectic and rather colourful character.
Located just moments from Oxford Street, The Zetter Marylebone is
spread over a row of Georgian Townhouses that are home to twenty four
bedrooms. Selfridges and other Bond Street luminaries are a stones
thrown away and you realise how great the location is. The centre of
activity within the hotel is its Parlour 3 the ofering tea, cofee snacks
and small plates and loads of scrumptious cocktails to make guest feel
completely at home. It is a great concept that the more-than-able Zetter
team are wonderfully deft at delivering. The parlours and spaces within
the Zetter Marylebone are also excellent for throwing special parties
such as events or wedding celebrations or any occasion that demands
a classy and relaxed ambiance. Afternoon tea is another hit at the hotel
where guests can enjoy freshly made scones and some delectable sandwiches.
Antique furniture is a passion at the hotel and there are classic pieces
delectable positioned all around the property. The rooms and suites, as
you might expect, are all uniquely brilliant such as the with the rooftop
apartment, Lear9s Loft, which is home to its very own al fresco bath. A
notch below ever so slightly but every bit as comfortable and gorgeous
are each of the four Junior Suites which ofer Verden toiletries and
Hypnos beds as standard.
The Zetter is a dream destination in the heart of Marylebone. Ideally
situated in the centre of London, remarkably, it is fabulously quiet and
yet surrounded by myriad activities. The dreamy interiors, ultra-comfy
bedrooms, delightful service and uber-cosy parlour congeal together like
a warm balm of luxury to soothe guests and residents alive.
