LSU took down Florida 18-4 to claim the
National Championship title!! Monday’s result
wasn’t always guaranteed. The Tigers needed
to win three games in three days to even
make the championship series. This season
was definitely an uphill battle but the tigers
never backed down. LSU won the first game
of the final series 4-3. However, the Tigers took
a hit from the Gators in the second game
losing by 24-4. The Tigers then came back
and crushed the Gators Monday night 18-4.
And now they head back to Baton Rouge
as National Champions. LSU fans and staff
congratulated the Tigers with a celebration
at Alex Box Stadium on Wednesday night.
The celebration included a presentation of
the National championship trophy, speeches
from Jay Johnson and players, and a firework
celebration. Fans are able to rewatch the
baseball celebration on LSU Gold. Geaux
