GetSolar(formerly Solar AI)GetSolar is a Singapore-based socialenterprise with a singular focus onthe decarbonisation of energy toachieve an abatement of 100 milliontons of carbon, and a commitment toreinvesting a majority of their profitsto scale the deployment of distributedsolar regionally. This projectsought to incentivise residentialowners to install solar PV on theirrooftops and turn to green energyin their daily power consumption.The project was aimed at reducingSingapore’s carbon footprint whilstalso supporting the Singaporegovernment’s commitment to reducereliance on natural energy resources.At the culmination of this project,Kristen Lau, Senior Associate,and Supervising Partner, AlexWong, who worked together onthis, were nominated by SolarAI for the TrustLaw ‘Poweredby Pro Bono’ Award.“Personally, this matter involved arelatively new product being traded andso understanding the ins and outs of thebusiness, including the trading platform,was eye opening.
