Some sad farewells
Maureen Fenner
It is with very great sadness that
Maureen Fenner passed away on 21st
December aged 94 from complica}ons
associated with Alzheimer9s. Maureen
was the only lady vice president of the
associa}on. An honour, that she really
appreciated, for the service that she and
her late husband Ray gave to the club
both summer and winter for many years
serving refreshments aver the matches.
at school, inter alia, he became the school
projec}onist and o昀케cial cameraman
recording special events. He was also
ac}ve in the signals sec}on of the CCF.
Aver gradua}ng from Leeds University he
went to work for the BBC on the technical
side and then moved to the Home O昀케ce,
where he sourced and tested
communica}on equipment for the police
and trained in its use.
He married Jackie in 1978 had three
children, Victoria Alexander and Nicholas
Sadly within a few days, her dear
daughter Julie aged 65 was admi琀琀ed to St (also Trinity boy) he re}red in 2005 .
Christophers hospice and passed away on He loved anything to do with radio
the 29th December having ba琀琀led for 20 equipment and had three sheds in his
years with breast cancer.
Her son Paul, who played cricket at the
club for many years, passed away on the
19th December, aged 69 aver 昀椀gh}ng
renal cancer. Our deepest sympathies go
to Shelia and Richard.
Valerie Wilshaw
Valerie passed away in November aver a
short illness. Our sympathies go to her
husband John, a former teacher at Trinity
and hockey player at the club. Many of
our Friday lunchers will miss seeing
Valerie every month.

Michael contracted pulmonary 昀椀brosis in
2008 and la琀琀erly emphysema. Jackie
sadly died in 2020 aver ba琀琀ling cancer for
several years. Michael had three covid
infec}ons and could no longer live at
home in his house in Norbury. He moved
to Whitgiv Care home in May 2024 where
he passed away peacefully in October,11
