Join us as we kick off the
excitement on Friday, October
27, with Ladbrokes Cox Plate
Eve. Experience the electrifying
atmosphere of racing under
the lights at The Valley, where
the buzz of anticipation fills
the air. The evening will
feature an incredible line-up
of stakes racing, headlined
by the Group 2 Moonee Valley
Gold Cup. Last year’s Gold
Cup was claimed by Francesco
Guardi, for the dynamic duo
of Chris Waller and James
McDonald. Past winners of
this prestigious event include
exceptional stayers like Lunar
Flare, Who Shot Thebarman,
Prince Of Penzance, and
Americain. Expect a festive
ambiance, combining top-notch
racing with exceptional live
entertainment.

awaiting the crowning of the
weight-for-age champion for

Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day is
an absolute highlight on the
racing calendar. The legendary
Ladbrokes Cox Plate will again
showcase its exceptional
quality, as witnessed in 2022
when Anamoe emerged
victorious for Godolphin.
The star-studded field he
triumphed over further attested
to the race’s status, with the
Ladbrokes Cox Plate being
hailed as Australia’s Best Race
in 2022.
The $5 million Ladbrokes Cox
Plate is one of the two Group 1
races scheduled for the day,
alongside the $2 million
Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes,
which will take place on
Saturday. Last year, due to
inclement weather conditions
on Friday night, the Manikato
Stakes made an unexpected
appearance on the card, and
Bella Nipotina dominated the
field to secure her maiden
Group 1 victory. Witnessing the
