Courtyard wisdom
Courtyard spaces have special meanings.
They’re part inside, part outside, and part of the
landscape. They are the formal outdoor rooms
and spaces that immediately connect to adjacent
interior rooms. The private courtyard space in front
of a home is the “landscape handshake” that says
“welcome” and “hello” to the neighborhood.
