ALPHA KAPPA ALP
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus
of Howard University in Washington D.C. on January 15, 1908.
Alpha Kappa Alpha is the first Greek-lettered organization
established by African American college women. For 115 years
Alpha Kappa Alpha has prided itself on service, sisterhood, and
positive contributions that members of our sorority have made in
our communities and world. In December 2022, the Eta Kappa
Chapter celebrated 50 years of service and sisterhood on LSU’s
campus and in the Baton Rouge community. Service is the sole
purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. We strive to be of
service to all mankind, which is why Eta Kappa takes pride in the
volunteer work we do in our communities.
