Open to the public since 2001, Handel Hendrix House
is a charity (The Handel House Trust, Registered Charity
No. 1006009) and an accredited museum. We raise all
our own funds. Through visitor admissions, learning
programmes, digital, and live performances we share the
lives, stories and music of George Frideric Handel
and Jimi Hendrix with the widest possible audience.
Supporters of the Hallelujah Project include: the estate
of the late Mark Ransom, Bang & Olufsen, the Band
Trust, the Drapers' Company, Foyle Foundation, the Steel
Charitable Trust, the Michael Uren Foundation, Garfield
Weston Foundation, the Wolfson Foundation and other
generous donors.

HES launch new heritage
professional learning programme
at the Engine Shed
The Engine Shed, Historic Environment Scotland’s
(HES) dedicated building conservation centre in Stirling,
will host a new programme of learning events for heritage
professionals this autumn.

of climate change and the retrofit and adaptive reuse of
existing buildings.
Five sessions will run during October and November,
covering key areas and agendas within the heritage and
built environment sector including building conservation,
heritage planning, climate change, energy efficiency and
retrofit and traditional building maintenance.
“We look forward to welcoming a range of different learners, from anyone responsible for a traditional building to
those with a broader interest in building conservation, for
what we hope will be valuable and informative sessions.”
Five events will run during October and November 2023:
Tue 10 Oct: An Introduction to Building Conservation
The programme is aimed at graduates, heritage
professionals and building practitioners from all disciplines
interested in developing their knowledge and practice, in
particular those who have entered the sector in the past
few years or who are considering entry to the sector.
Wed 18 Oct: Heritage Planning
Thu 2 Nov: Impact of Climate Change on Heritage
Tue 14 Nov: Energy Efficiency and Adaptive Reuse of
Buildings
