We believe that by looking after our people, our customers, our suppliers and our local
community, we can foster improvements in social conditions and the environment.
We aim to create wealth responsibly and sustainably and determine where this wealth is
best invested and distributed.
Charity Partnership
We have established strong links with our chosen company charity partner Suffolk Accident
Rescue Service SARS, selected through a consultation with our entire team.
In July 2022 a team of cyclists from Sudbury Silk Mills cycled 110 miles as part of the
Dunwich Dynamo event. They cycled through the night from central London to the Suffolk
coast, raising over £1800 in the process.
Charity events and collections
Our staff members have a passion for supporting a wide range of local and national
charitable organisations, through events to raise funds or by volunteering their time.
Recent activities include anything from bake sales to collecting goods for local food banks
and Christmas boxes for children. Many of our colleagues also take on their own charitable
endeavours for causes with personal significance and we always undertake to support
these efforts wherever possible.
