Loop Diagnostics
Loop Diagnostics is a biotech
company that develops a
diagnostic tool for sepsis, using
an in vitro cellular immunoassay
to detect it within the first hour
of bloodstream infection. Their
goal is to reduce disease severity
and mortality rates through
timely and effective treatment.
HL BaSE advised Loop Diagnostics
on a number of issues, including
advice on corporate and financial
agreements, as well as commercial
and regulatory advice on working
with a key provider. HL BaSE also
provided advice on IP protection, in
particular patents and trademarks,
and provided data protection
advice to assist Loop Diagnostics
work with hospitals and patients.

positive. As a Spanish startup within
the health sector, we have participated
in several workshops, accelerators
and entrepreneurship programs at
a national and European level (even
some in the USA) and we have not found
any similar to this workshop. In all
these programmes, the legal part of the
companies was approached as something
disconnected from the rest of the
company’s departments. However, the
BaSE Catalyst workshop is the only one
in which we have been able to interact
with different legal departments that
affect different aspects of the business.”
