CCSO steps up to help bring closure after a
deadly January mudslide in Multnomah County
I
n the early morning on Jan. 13, 2021, a massive
mudslide in Dodson, Oregon swept up an SUV driven by
Jennifer Camus Moore, 50, of Warrendale. Her vehicle
was quickly buried under 15 feet of mud, rock, and debris.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office launched a mission to find Moore in the
wake of the slide. It quickly became a grueling recovery effort.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office sent Dive Team deputies to help comb the
debris flow, looking for any sign of the buried SUV.
Moore’s body was located using ground-penetrating radar on Jan. 23,
and she was recovered later that day.
