GREENING DAY
LSU’s Campus Sustainability and Geaux Green organized Spring
Greening Day as well as a sustainability expo in preparation for
Earth Day. Volunteers, including students, planted an impressive
12,000+ plants across 17,000 square feet on campus. The event
aimed to promote sustainable living and educate students about
environmental responsibility. The sustainability expo featured
various organizations showcasing their initiatives, including
recycling programs, climate crisis awareness, and pollinator
gardens. The Olinde Career Center also participated by offering
upcycling opportunities for students to access professional
attire. These activities emphasized the importance of shared
responsibility in protecting the environment.
