Miami-based New World Symphony is known as America’s
Orchestral Academy. French conductor, Stéphane Denève,
was recently named Artistic Director and is the first
successor to Michael Tilson Thomas. They will be joined by
famed cellist, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, the 24-year-old who
catapulted to stardom when he won the prestigious BBC
Young Musician award and played at the Royal wedding
of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Comprised of outstanding talent and unmatched enthusiasm for musical
collaboration, Curtis Symphony Orchestra stands as a cornerstone
of the Curtis Institute of Music experience and a vital component of
Philadelphia’s vibrant cultural scene. In their Kravis Center debut, the
orchestra will be led by Curtis alumnus and Musical America’s 2022
Conductor of the Year, Teddy Abrams, and joined by the globe-trotting
star violinist, Ray Chen. Their program includes Samuel Barber’s ravishing
Violin Concerto and Aaron Copland’s beloved Third Symphony.
