Additionally, we discussed the critical
functions necessary for vehicle
assessors that can be supported
by IT, such as report writing,
image capture and sharing, quality
assurance, workload management,
team communication, customer
communication, internal reporting, and
billing/accounting.
Christopher demonstrated how each of
these functions can be handled easily
through a live example of the Vehicle
Assessor System – a tool for assessors
which has generated signi昀椀cant interest
in the community recently.
ENGAGING MOMENTS

LOOKING AHEAD
We hope Chris Gibb will return to us in
the future and bring us more insights
aimed at modernising the vehicle
assessor business through IT. Future
events will continue to build on these
foundations, offering more in-depth
explorations of automation, AI, and
advanced security measures.

The sessions were interactive, with
participants asking insightful questions
and engaging in discussions. A
particularly memorable moment was
a live demonstration of a security
exploit, which, despite its serious
nature, added a touch of humour to
the session.
Another insightful moment was Chris’
demonstration of using Arti昀椀cial
Intelligence to read the content of
emails to create instructions which
was demonstrated with the Vehicle
Assessor System.
THE IMPACT OF IT ON VEHICLE
ASSESSMENT
Chris gave us many insights on how
the integration and management
of IT in the assessor business aims
to streamline operations through
“acceleration and automation”,
and when done correctly can
signi昀椀cantly reduce the time spent on
administrative tasks, allowing assessors
to focus more on inspections. Chris
recalled a story of the 昀椀rst assessor he
worked with over 10 years ago, who
aptly put it, “I want to spend more
time doing inspections, and less time
on admin.”
