THE SQUARE
LSU Campus Life hosted the first ever Rock the Square event on
Friday, March 24, 2023. The rooftop of the Union Square Parking
Garage was transformed into a top-notch hangout space with
balloon art and big, white hanging chairs that spun around like
swings. In addition to these fun photo-ops, Campus Life provided
several activities for students, like henna tattoos, face painting,
mini golf and other tailgate games. No party is complete without
music, so three local bands all of which include some members
who are LSU students or alumni graced a pop-up stage. Some
students danced and cheered as Neon Luck, Wave Runner and
Speak Easy performed, while others grabbed a bite to eat and
enjoyed listening to the live sounds. Some of the bands’ fans
and family even brought their own lawn chairs to the top of the
parking garage. Partly cloudy skies covered the afternoon sun,
creating an atmosphere full of friendship and fun.
