Year 4 - Math: Dedicated Dogs
Y4 Maths Lesson Plan
Dedicated Dogs
This lesson plan covers national curriculum objectives for year 4 to support a unit of work focusing on
converting time measurements. However, it can be adapted for use with younger or older learners.
We recommend you read through the plan carefully and adapt it to suit the needs of your learners and you
may wish to expand on the topic for consolidation. You might even choose to devote a day to Guinness
World Records activities.
Although helpful, you do not need a copy of any Guinness World Records books to be able to teach this
lesson.
The symbols used in this lesson plan and in the lesson presentation
indicate suggestions for partner work and group work.
