SECTION 2 – EMPLOYMENT TYPES
2.1 FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT
A full-time employee is one who works 1,500 hours annually. Full-time employees are entitled to
the following fringe benefits:
Vacation
Sick Leave
Paid Holidays
Family Leave
Bereavement Leave
Basic Life and AD&D Insurance
Retirement/403(b) Plan
Workers’ Compensation
Retirement/Lay Pension Plan
Social Security
Long Term Disability
Medical Insurance
Short Term Disability
Employee Assistance Program
2.2 PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT
An employee is classified as part-time if he/she is scheduled to work less than 1,500 hours
annually.
2.2.1 Part-time 1,040 hours annually
Part-time employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 1,040 hours annually are entitled
to the following fringe benefits:
Vacation
Sick Leave
Retirement/403(b) Plan
Extended Medical Leave
Bereavement Leave
Short-term Disability
Employee Assistance
Workers’ Compensation
Social Security
Paid Holidays
2.2.2 Part-time less than 1,040 hours annually
Part-time employees working less than 1,040 hours annually are entitled to social security and
workers’ compensation. All employees, regardless of hours worked, are invited to participate in
the Retirement/403(b) Plan.
