SERVING AS A GOOD EXAMPLE
Serving as a good example
There is focus on a lunch scheme with
sustainable solutions that aims to reduce
avoidable food waste and eliminate disposable
plastics,
Table 14 shows the calculation of Industriens
Pension’s own environmental data.
As a natural consequence of the demands on
cooperation partners to act responsibly, we
make similar demands on ourselves as a
business. Consequently, employees are
expected to demonstrate a high degree of
responsibility, integrity and ethical awareness in
their daily work.
Policies and guidelines are updated regularly, so
that they support our actions and thereby
contribute to such integrity.
Climate and the environment
Industriens Pension supports society’s efforts to
reduce climate change, and we strive to reduce
our own negative impact on the environment.
Our owner-occupied property was the first in
Denmark to receive sustainability certification
under to the new principles for buildings in use,
and has a Silver certification. The electricity used
to operate the property is 100% green.
Replacement of company cars to low emission
cars has begun, and charging stations have
been established at the property.
An internal sustainability group has been set up
to communicate regularly various sustainability
messages and identify initiatives that can help
reduce the environmental footprint and energy
consumption of the offices. This is through
various measures to encourage employees to
change their behaviour.

Social aspects and aspects related to
employees
Industriens Pension is a knowledge-based
company, with employees constituting our most
important resource. There is focus on equal
opportunities and a gender-balanced staff
composition.
A
healthy
and
inspirational
working
environment, with focus on promoting wellbeing, diversity and labour rights, and
countering discrimination provides the best
foundation for delivering good results to
members and companies and making sure they
have a positive perception of Industriens
Pension.
Members and companies should not only see
Industriens Pension as a profitable and attractive
pension company, but also as a company where
the internal work climate has a positive effect on
the company's services and selection of
innovative and socially responsible products
and solutions.

The increase in scope 3 is fully linked to air travel
by management. There were more flights than
previously, when activity was unusually low due
to Covid-19. Emissions under scope 3 are,
however, significantly lower than in 2019, which
was the last year before Covid-19.
It is important for Industriens Pension that
employees are well-educated, competent and
innovative, and we provide a framework for this
through continuing training, skills-upgrading and
development. Industriens Pension offers a
flexible employment framework, allowing
employees to work part time, on a flexible job
scheme or under a senior-policy scheme.
Industriens Pension has priority on employing
trainees, so that both the company and the
pension sector maintain a strong recruitment
base. Nine trainees are currently employed. Of
these, five qualified in 2024 and are continuing
as customer advisors. Historically, all trainees
who have completed their traineeship have
subsequently been offered employment at
Industriens Pension.
Through regular work climate surveys,
occasional SPOT surveys (surveys of health and
safety at work) and statutory workplace
assessments, Industriens Pension collects
important data about the organisation as part of
targeted work by managers, cooperation
committees and the health and safety
organisation.
The purpose is to promote individual
employees’ commitment and well-being to
achieve the mission and vision of the company
in the best interests of members.
Focus on sustainable management
There is no fixed definition of sustainability.
Instead, sustainability is a dynamic term that
develops in step with increasing requirements
from the outside world for a socially responsible
pension company, and therefore Industriens
Pension has included sustainable management
on its agenda for 2023. In short, it is about
