4. MEMBERSHIP: Attract new members and more
deeply engage existing members to collaborate on
game—changing growth and impact strategies. Our
primary goal is to grow membership by 10% by the
end of 2024, with 75% of new members being
contractors. We also look to keep our membership
retention at 90% or greater.
As we pursue these initiatives in 2024, I reflect on
Edmond Burke’s quote that is as appropriate
today as it was in the 1700s: "The only thing
necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men
to do nothing. Nobody made a greater mistake
than he who did nothing because he could do
only a little."
I later had the privilege to lead ABC’s Apprenticeship
program for eight years, helping to grow the program from
300 to over 1,000 apprentice program graduates. Today, I
am proud to serve as Chief Operations Officer of
Performance Excellence for Gaylor Electric. It is an exciting
time to lead and work among so many talented people as
we incorporate leading—edge technology and innovation to
construct complex projects safely and more efficiently than
ever before.
My plan for Board leadership is to
