COMPETITION
The Tampa Film Institute is pleased to announce
the 8th Annual Tampa Bay High School Film
Competition, as a part of the 2023 Gasparilla
International Film Festival presented by Film
Tampa Bay. This year over 40 films were
submitted by Tampa Bay area high school
filmmakers. These students represent the very
best talent in Tampa Bay, led by passionate and
dedicated instructors. Congratulations to the
official selections for the 2023 Tampa Bay High
School Film Competition!

The mission of The Tampa Film Institute, Inc.
is to improve the educational opportunities
of Tampa Bay area student filmmakers and
thier schools. This year through the generous
support of our sponsors, and in partnership with
the Hillsborough Education Foundation, we
are proud to provide over $10,000 in college
scholarships and/or production equipment to
award-winning students and schools.
TFI and GIFF would like to thank all of our

Film equipment will be given to the schools
of the winning films for: Best Screenplay, Best

(Audience Choice), Best Picture (Grand Jury).
