How has this changed others’ life? I take pride at work in being able to make people happy and help them find what
they need. Whether someone is looking for flooring for their entire home or a small birthday gift, I can help! We
develop special relationships with our customers as well and we are here when they may just need a listening ear or
to come in and escape from reality for a bit. We try to make shopping at Dikken's fun and easy!
What has been your biggest lesson? At work- I have learned to rely more on some of my sales reps for their advice. It
can be overwhelming to make decisions and they have a wealth of knowledge from their experiences. I have also
learned to follow my gut more as far as placing orders. If I am overthinking something, that probably means I should
not order it!
At home- I am working on more balance between work and family and play, trying to bring less work and stress home.
It is a process :)
What do you want others- to know regarding this? A lot of people have lost their loyalty to supporting small
businesses. It is so easy to hop in the car and make a date of shopping out of town for everything from toilet paper to
home improvement, and even easier to order online. This has greatly impacted the future of small business.
Is there anything else special you would like to share? I am just like everyone else- trying my best to provide a service
to our community while being the best wife, Mom, Grandma, daughter, sister, friend, ....... that I can be.
