Enjoy a trip to the charming seaside resort of Whitby, which
will be hosting its famous Regatta, an event that draws
visitors from near and far. There will be plenty of time to
explore Whitby, a traditional maritime town full of history,
pretty cobbled streets, quaint shops, and a beautiful blue
昀氀ag beach perfect for a relaxing stroll. It is an ancient port
with a fascinating history, highlighted by its dramatic
ruined Abbey perched on the cliffs and a bustling working
harbour. The Regatta will celebrate over 180 years of
aquatic competition, featuring yacht racing, rowing races,
and a variety of vintage vehicles on display. Visitors can
also enjoy live entertainment, family-friendly activities, food
stalls, and a vibrant festive atmosphere throughout the day.

● Admire the wacky and wonderful scarecrow displays in
the village of Kettlewell
Join us on a day trip to the Yorkshire Dales and the lovely
Wharfedale village of Kettlewell. The Scarecrow Festival
has been held here every year since 1994 and is a fabulous
fundraising event for the local primary school, village hall
and local church which serve the whole surrounding
community. Originally the scarecrows depicted villagers
professions and hundreds of displays can now be spotted
in every corner of the village in gardens, doorways, peeping
over walls and even climbing drainpipes. There are plenty
of refreshments available with three pubs and two cafes as
well as places to picnic by the river.
