As part of our Litigation, Arbitration and Employment
Global podcast series, A Matter of Law, members of
the Hogan Lovells team spoke with Chris Folwell, Uber’s
Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for EMEA, to
explore how the current global economic uncertainty
might impact DEI and why it should continue to be a key
strategic goal.
In our region we are including the socio-economic
background of our people and candidates in more
and more decisions. We want to provide people from
many different social backgrounds the opportunity to
join our team and bring their perspectives to our work.
We are a Lead Partner firm supporting the General
Counsel D&I initiative (GCD&I) which is owned and led
by General Counsel and the In-House Community to
promote Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion across the legal
sector. As the project manager for the newly created Social Mobility Pillar, we hosted
the group’s first event in our London office in September 2023 which brought together
members from across the GCD&I community to discuss current trends and areas of
focus within social mobility.
