CBZ Bank sponsors the
High Schools Debate Competition
As part of CBZ Bank’s continued efforts to support and promote the education sector
in Zimbabwe, the Bank sponsored a High Schools Invitational debate competition that
was hosted by Dominican Convent.
The competition, which was graced by 20 schools invited to participate, had two tiers
that comprised of junior (O’Level) and senior (A - level) category. With six trophies
on the line, the participating schools fought for bragging rights, making the debates
engaging, intellectual, intense, and thought-provoking.
As the competition grows, it is going to facilitate experiences that enhance students’
appreciation of diverse perspectives, promote inclusion, and therefore shape their
values and attitudes as future leaders :
