in the Lazio region lies the small
town of Di Bolsena, a place once
filled with potters and the home
o f R o b e r t o R o s s o , o n e o f I t a l y ’s
b e s t p o t t e r s . Ta k i n g i n s p i r a t i o n
from ancient Greek designs, Rosso
created a pot with a distinctive clay
pearling top, which was popular
throughout the 1800s. Then, quite
s o m e y e a r s a g o , S t e f f e n B e r g ’s
inspiration arose from the original
design, and he created the Helena
Po t . To d a y, Tu s c a n p o t t e r s a r e
making it again.
