FLYING TIGERS
The LSU Air Force ROTC, also known as the Flying Tigers, is a
program for students interested in a career in the Air Force. It
focuses on leadership development, aerospace education,
and preparation for becoming an Air Force officer. Areas of
focus include the General Military Course (GMC) for freshmen
and sophomores, introducing them to the Air Force’s values,
and the Professional Officer Course (POC) for juniors and seniors,
emphasizing Air Force operations. On March 1st, a helicopter
squadron from Wyoming’s Air Force visited LSU for a recruitment
event. During the event, the squadron provided helicopter rides
to LSU Air Force ROTC cadets, allowing them to experience a
flight over LSU’s campus and Baton Rouge.
